What programs for you offer and for what is the age range?
Boys and girls from Kindergarten to 6th grade can register. CYFO offers Flag football for athletes in K-1st grade. Tackle for 2nd-6th grade and cheer for kindergarten through 6th grade.
Where are practices held?
Practice is at East Coventry Elementary School. 2461 E Cedarville Rd, Pottstown, PA 19465.
When does practice start?
Practice for tackle will begin the week of August 5th. The ICFL require at least one week of heat acclimation (practice with helmet, no pads) before practice begins in full pads. Heat acclimation is scheduled for August 5th, 2024, and full practice will start on August 12th, 2024.
Flag and cheer will begin practicing the week of August 12th.
What is the game schedule?
CYFO will participate in the summer brawl which is scheduled for August 24th & 25th.
There are up to nine games in the regular season. Once the schedule has been set by the ICFL, your coach will provide you with the complete game schedule. The schedule is generally available mid to late August.
Where are the games played?
Home games are played at the Owen J. Roberts HS Stadium. CYFO participates in the ICFL (Inter County Football League) therefore away games will be played at a field within any of those teams’ school districts. On average, you should plan for no more than a 30 minute drive to away games.
Will they practice in the rain?
Yes, unless its lightening. However, practices may be cancelled by Owen J. Roberts School District if the fields are too muddy and we risk damaging them. In this case, the league will notify you ASAP by email and Facebook post. Coaches may also cancel practice either by email or text using the team-preferred method of communication.
NOTE: Nobody practices if there is lightning. If lightning is spotted near the field, you must evacuate the field and cannot return until the field is lightning free for at least 30 minutes.
What paperwork is required for registration?
All players (flag football, tackle football and cheerleaders) must present the following paperwork to register:
- Photocopy of their birth certificate
- Proof of grade. This can be a copy of their report card displaying their grade level or a screenshot of Skyward showing their grade. (this is not required for Kindergarten athletes.)
What are the parent volunteering commitments?
This league runs on the time and commitment of volunteers. None of us would be here if it wasn’t for the countless hours so many parents before you have donated to help our league succeed. We require that families donate 2 volunteer shifts to make each season a success.

What is a volunteer bond?
All CYFO families will be required to submit a $250 volunteer bond in the form of a check made out to CYFO, dated 12/1/24. This volunteer bond is per family, not per participant. The check will be shredded at the end of the season when the volunteer requirement is fulfilled.

Additionally, each team will have at least one coach and one team manager who will determine your team’s primary communication method.
What is an equipment bond check?CYFO requires
ALL families to submit an equipment bond check to ensure that all uniforms are returned at the end of the season in good/clean condition. The check will
ONLY be cashed if your uniform is not returned or not washed.
- Flag equipment bond- $50
- Tackle equipment bond- $400
- Cheer equipment bond- $150
What is a raffle ticket fee?CYFO requires each family to purchase $100 worth of raffle tickets upon registering. You will receive your raffle tickets at equipment pickup. If you have multiple children in the program your oldest athlete will receive the tickets. You can sell the tickets and keep the money or turn the ticket stubs in for our annual drawing during the Pink Out game.
